DigyContact processes WhatsApp messages solely on behalf of the connected business (for example, a hotel) in order to provide automated guest communication services.
DigyContact does not retain message content after successful delivery. However, if a user wishes to request deletion of any associated data, the following process applies.
How Users Can Request Data Deletion
If you have interacted with a business using DigyContact via WhatsApp and would like your data to be deleted, you may request deletion by:
Contacting the business directly through the same communication channel (for example, the hotel you interacted with), or
Sending an email to:
privacy@digycontact.com
Your request should include:
- The WhatsApp phone number used in the interaction
- The name of the business (if known)
- The date of interaction (approximate is acceptable)
What Happens After a Request
Upon receiving a valid deletion request:
- We will identify whether any associated transient data exists
- Any remaining technical processing logs related to the request will be deleted
- Confirmation of deletion will be provided
As DigyContact does not store message history, most conversational data is already removed automatically after processing.
Controller Responsibility
Since DigyContact acts only as a data processor, the connected business (for example, the hotel) remains responsible for handling user data requests.
Where necessary, DigyContact will coordinate with the business to ensure deletion is completed.
Processing Time
Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 7 business days.
