DigyContact is a guest communication automation platform used by hospitality businesses to respond to guest inquiries through WhatsApp via Meta’s Cloud API.

This Privacy Policy explains how DigyContact processes data when businesses connect their WhatsApp Business Account to our system.

1. Role of DigyContact

DigyContact acts solely as a data processor on behalf of the connected business (for example, a hotel).

We do not independently determine the purpose or means of processing personal data transmitted through WhatsApp conversations.

The connected business remains the data controller.

2. Data We Process

When a guest sends a message via WhatsApp, DigyContact may temporarily process the following information:

  • Message content
  • WhatsApp phone number
  • Conversation metadata such as timestamp and language

This processing is strictly necessary to:

  • Receive the message
  • Generate an automated response
  • Deliver the response back to the guest

3. AI-Based Processing

Messages may be processed through an AI language model in order to generate a contextual response regarding:

  • Hotel services
  • Facilities
  • Guest requests
  • General informational inquiries

AI processing is performed solely for real-time response generation.

DigyContact does not perform automated profiling or decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Data Retention

DigyContact follows an ephemeral processing architecture.

Messages are:

  • Processed in real time
  • Stored only temporarily in system memory
  • Deleted after successful response delivery

DigyContact does not retain conversation history after processing.

We do not build behavioral profiles of guests.

5. Data Sharing

DigyContact does not sell, share, or use WhatsApp conversation data for:

  • Marketing
  • Advertising
  • Analytics
  • AI model training

Data is processed only for the purpose of enabling messaging functionality.

6. Third-Party Infrastructure

To operate the service, DigyContact relies on:

  • Meta Cloud API for message transport
  • Secure cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and processing

These providers act only as technical infrastructure processors.

7. Security

DigyContact applies industry-standard safeguards including:

  • Encrypted data transmission
  • Access controls
  • Secure processing environments

8. Data Subject Rights

Guests wishing to exercise privacy rights should contact the business they are communicating with.

As DigyContact acts only as a processor, requests are handled through the connected business.
